Navaratri 6th day
Friends, yesterday I told you the story of ma Skandmata. Today I will tell you the story of ma Kalratri. But first, you guys have to listen to the story of Durgamasur. He was the son of an asur named Ruru. Durgamasur was extremely powerful. He had won the three worlds(heaven, hell, earth). There was only one place he couldn't take, Kailash. He had the wish of marrying Parvati and take Kailash as well. He expressed him to Ma Parvati. Goddess Parvati said that she would never marry him and Durgamasur could never take in Kailash as Lord Shiva protects it. Parvati warns him not to attack Kailash or he can die.
Avoiding Parvati's advice, he tried to attack Kailash and take Devi Parvati but failed. Seeing this behavior of Durgamasur Parvati took the Ma Kalratri. Ma Kalratri went to Durgamasur's durg(palace) to teach him a lesson. Ma Kalratri gave him a chance and tried to make him understand that if he didn't stop thinking about the marriage with Parvati then Parvati will kill him. But making Durgamasur understand wasn't easy. Pride had taken over his mind. But do you know? Ma kalratri went as a dut to Durgamasur. A dut is kind of a messenger. Being a dut is not an easy job. One ma Kalratri also went to Lord Shiva as a messenger. That's why she is also called Shivduti. Mata Kalratri holds a khorok and a bojro and rides on a Donkey
Moral= This story teaches us that if someone a miser or a king doesn't listen to one's good advice then there can be consequences.
